Surplus tabletop VELBON MP-430 Compact Tripod was backup support in case assignment called for low-angle camera platform. While small and diminutive, it's one of the strongest tripods that can be carried in the hip pocket or camera bag. In ‘open’ position it stands about 7” H w/legs extended to about 10” dia. Strength comes solid cast aluminum legs that pivot open to a 3-point stance and lock in place with a wing nut assembly at its base. Ball and socket head can be removed and replaced with a video head, gimbal head, or any other tripod head. It’s made in Japan. It easily holds any DSLR w/most lens combinations. It's an ideal tripod for low level sports work. Easily packs in a camera bag or backpack. It works great at eye-level when set on accommodating terrain, fences, etc. and can be used as a regular tripod by placing on walls fences, trees, etc. It’s available for local pick-up in San Rafael, with cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
