Vintage VELBON CX 680 Camera Tripod is medium-duty w/two-way pan head for 360-degree pans and vertical axis movements. (It’s unique in that it can be adapted to preferred handedness…see following.) It’s best-suited for use for videos using smart phones or compact camcorders, albeit readily useable for film and digital (D)SLRs, too (without the horizonal tilt.) It has 3-section aluminum legs w/side-lever leg locks The plastic-tipped feet allow for a sure grip on nearly any surface. The legs are radial-braced to the center column for rock-steady stability. The geared center column w/hand crank allows for smooth camera elevational changes. The pan head has a reversible handle, easily switchable to left- or right-handed control. It has the original quick-release plate that affords quick, easy movement of camera on- and off-tripod. It also has a bubble level on the body for quick reference in tripod-leveling. Collapsed the tripod is about 26" L, fully extended legs and centerpost, it’s 5'-4" H. It weighs about 4 lbs. It appears as virtually new…no dents, scratches, scars, or loose connections.
