Though very compact, this DX Nikkor has remarkable telephoto reach, equivalent to a 80-300mm on a full-frame camera. It’s great for people, sports and travel and is the perfect complement to the 18-55.

Glass is clean and clear, aperture blades are dry and diaphragm is “snappy”.
