There are currently FOUR art studios available at Mark Drive Studios. There are a total of 25 studios in a range of sizes, from 110 Square Feet up to 1700 Square Feet. This is a rare opportunity since we usually keep a waiting list and only see 1-2 studios come available each year. So this is the time to come take a tour if you're at all interested:)

Studio 17 - Square Footage:150, Rent: $500/mo

About the Property:
The building has 2 bathrooms, 2 "wash rooms" for paint brush cleaning, a kitchen, a large parking lot, and a private bamboo garden with a fountain surrounded by mature succulents. The building owner pays for WiFi, garbage, and electricity. We have a lovely gardener as well as a cleaner for the interior common areas, the building is serviced every 2 weeks.
About the Artists:
Mark Drive Studios is a collective of creatives based in San Rafael, California. We are a diverse but unified group of just around twenty-five painters, sculptors, photographers, textile artists, and other creatives.
Our building was beautifully restored in 2005 to provide artist work spaces. We open our doors for a fairly informal "Open Studios" about two times a year, once in May in conjunction with Marin Open Studios and once in December for a Holiday Open Studios. We make all kinds of art like sculpture, photography, abstract paintings and more. It is overall a down-to-earth space, quiet (we have shared walls). We are unable to have kilns or major residues or chemicals inside the building (sorry). This is a space for visual artists (although we do have one Tesla electrical engineer - who is sort of an artist in his own right - and just enjoys the atmosphere of being around all these interesting artists) Unfortunately it's not an appropriate space for music, dance, zoom videos, or office calls.
