Job Title: Assistant Construction Project Manager
Pay: Starting at $35/hour + Benefits (Medical, Dental, 401k match, Paid Time Off, Bonus).
Type: Part-time (20–35 hours/week).
Location: Santa Rosa, CA (Office-based; must have a reliable car for occasional site visits).

Character Builders, Inc. is a high-end residential builder with 30 years of experience serving Sonoma and Napa Counties. We are a small, professional team focused on quality and service.
What You’ll Do
You will support Project Managers with the administrative and financial side of construction, including:
Finance: Budgeting, job costing, subcontractor billing, and client invoicing.
Operations: Ordering materials, tracking deliveries, and managing permits/inspections.
Bidding: Helping prepare bid lists and managing the proposal process.
Admin: Organizing contracts, schedules, change orders, and project records.
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years in residential construction coordination or assistant project management.
Tech Skills: Microsoft 365 (Excel/OneDrive), Adobe, and Dropbox. (Sage or MS Project experience is a plus).
Knowledge: Ability to read blueprints and understand the sequence of a construction build.
Education: Degree preferred (especially in Construction Management).
Language: Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
