Vivalon is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our experienced maintenance team. In this role, you’ll perform repairs and routine maintenance on a growing fleet of vehicles—including cars, vans, trucks, hybrids, and buses. We offer full-time hours, a consistent schedule, and opportunities for professional development, including support for earning ASE certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of vehicles.
Service electronic systems, disc brakes, ABS, wheelchair lifts, and mobile data terminals (MDTs).
Conduct driveability assessments and write detailed repair orders.
Accurately enter data into fleet management software and compliance reports.
Maintain shop logs and ensure documentation is complete and up to date.

Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a mechanic in an automotive shop.
Solid understanding of vehicle operating systems and repair procedures.
Possess a valid California driver’s license and either hold or be willing to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL); must maintain a clean driving record and be insurable.
Own a toolset appropriate for the responsibilities of the position.
Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Skilled in performing essential preventive maintenance and repair procedures.
Positive, service-oriented attitude with punctuality and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
High school diploma or GED required.
Physically able to stand, stoop, bend, and stretch for extended periods; able to lift up to 75 lbs.
ASE certifications (e.g., HVAC, engine performance, brakes) are highly desired; experience with Ford vehicles is a plus.
Familiarity with fleet maintenance software is preferred.
Completion of an automotive or technical school program or equivalent certification is desired.
Compensation and Benefits:
$40 - $51/hour (85k to 105k annually) depending on experience.
A hiring bonus of $ 3,000 (paid after the first 90 days of employment and upon receipt of CDL).
