-Help to maintain an orderly and supportive environment at our Singles Homeless Shelter.
-Observe for signs of disorder and accurately complete appropriate documentation.
-Work cooperatively with clients, staff, and volunteers.
-Represent COTS in a friendly, professional, and competent manner.
-Answer phones and manage incoming mail.
-Assist clients with information, resources, and direction as appropriate.
-Accepts pre-applications for shelter program and responds to inquiries and provides information as to other programs.
-Monitor facility interiors and exteriors, ensuring safety, security, cleanliness, general maintenance, and property regulation compliance.
-Stock and maintain materials for facility restrooms, work closets and front desk.
-Conduct health and safety inspections of clients’ personal spaces, including family rooms and dorm area.
-Maintain accurate inventories of first-aid and client-designated supplies and manage distribution.
-Assist in managing emergency responses, such as; alarms, facility evacuation, and medical situations.
-Able to use computers and complete documentation accurately and timely.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively work with groups of diverse people in a positive, friendly manner
-Able to manage workload – prioritizing, planning, and organizing
-Able to work flexible shifts; including weekends and holidays
