💼 Position Overview
The Day Program Coordinator is a key management position responsible for ensuring the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of our STEP Day Program and Individual Day Services. Working closely with the Employment Coordinator and Executive Director, you will guide Job Coaches, oversee client services, and uphold the highest standards of quality, compliance, and inclusion.
✨ What You’ll Do
Management & Leadership
• Oversee a high-quality STEP Day Program aligned with HCBS standards across health & wellness, social engagement, community integration, and employment.
• Develop clear program structures, protocols, and best practices.
• Supervise, evaluate, and support day program staff, including Job Coach orientation, training, and competency development.
• Implement organizational change strategies and contribute to OFI-wide management initiatives.
• Maintain strong, positive relationships with participants, families, staff, and community partners.
Program Management & Quality Assurance
• Ensure program fidelity, outcome tracking, and quarterly program manual updates.
• Lead annual program evaluations and improvement goals.
• Ensure compliance with Title 17 and 22 regulations and support successful GGRC Quality Assessment Reviews.
Day Program Client Services
• Oversee client intake, assessments, and Person Centered Planning processes.
• Coordinate with case managers, families, and service providers to meet each participant’s goals.
• Ensure high-quality ISP, Personal Profiles, and Staff development.
• Maintain accurate billing, documentation, and participant records.
🎓 Required Knowledge & Skills
• Extensive experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities & experiencing behavioral challenges.
• Strong leadership, supervision, and team-building skills.
• Ability to train paraprofessional staff and support high-performing teams.
• Expertise in program development, quality assurance, and person-centered planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including public speaking and training.
• Professional collaboration with regional centers (GGRC experience highly valued).
✓ Minimum Qualifications
• 5+ years progressively responsible nonprofit experience.
• 3+ years in staff supervision, leadership, or training within a behavioral services setting.
• Strong understanding of developmental disabilities and GGRC requirements.
• AA or Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Reliable vehicle & valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check.
