This is a St. Blues S&T Custom bass. It belonged to a legendary Bay Area bass player who recently passed. I do not have a ton of information on this, but think it may have been some form of a prototype. We estimate that this is from the late 80s/90s. It is in great shape and it plays really smooth. It has an alder body and an ash top. It is on the heavier side, weighing in at just about 9lbs
