1950’s Masco MA-25 Tube PA Amplifier. Serial # 210371. I’ve owned this amp since the 1980’s, and until recently it was just a cool looking old amp in my studio. My intent of its recent service was not to replace anything unnecessarily. New parts included a new main electrolytic capacitor, 6 signal path capacitors, and one NOS 5V4 and two NOS 6SC7 tubes. Modifications done prior to my ownership include adding an RCA jack to phono and a conventional ¼” jack input connector.
I will include a 70 volt to 8 ohm speaker conversion transformer, which we hooked up to speakers to see what the amp sounded like. It appears to be able to put out full power with great tone, and is ready to use or modify as desired. It is in very good condition appearance wise, but missing its front logo, the serial number plate is scratched up, and one knob has a damaged skirt. $995
