I purchased this used FP-1 about a month ago for my wife, who wants to learn piano. 88 keys, electronics are fine, sound is fine, but it does have some bad keys. They are weighted, the weights held by clips under the keys, and the clips eventually wear out or break. I had one key repaired by Backstage in Cotati several weeks ago, but another one got stuck yesterday. Unfortunately, I do not have the time or the tools to repair these myself. Roland no longer makes the weight clips, but they are available through another manufacturer. It is not too complicated of a job, just removing the top cover to get access to the to the keys and then putting the new clips underneath. If you have the interest, time and tools, this is the project piano for you. With a little work it will be a very reliable and usable instrument. I can deliver it to you in Sonoma, Petaluma, Santa Rosa or Cotati/Rohnert Park. Price is firm, cash only.
