A full-service Precision Contract Manufacturing Company located in the North Bay. This position requires a highly motivated candidate that is looking for a great career opportunity with a successful and growing company in the machining / manufacturing sector
Position Overview:
Machine Operator – Entry Level - 2 – Swing Shift, 4 days M-TH 1:30 PM -12:00 AM
The selected candidate will be responsible for the operation of multiple machining centers, monitors tooling and quality of work throughout the production process. This hands-on position will require an individual who is willing to learn from instruction and training. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to quality, schedules, and the ability to work alone at night with some support.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
• Load and Unload CNC Machining centers
• Ability to understand verbal direction and tasks
• Ability to lift and load up to 50lbs of material
• Has some experience and understanding of hand tools (Wrenches, screw gun etc.)
• Fine attention to details
• Can keep work area clean and organized
• Verifies part count in production bins
• Responsible for the operation of multiple CNC machining centers
• Monitors product quality throughout the production process
• Works with immediate Supervisor and Quality Assurance to use inspection equipment and procedures required to manufacture products successfully
• Use problem solving skills and good judgment to minimize production down time
• Experience with HAAS, Makino, and Fanuc controls a plus
Education/Experience:
To be successful in this position the candidate should have a high school diploma and demonstrate a mechanical aptitude. Any machining or shop experience would be a plus.
