Seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, full-time legal assistant to support our small staff in the handling of workers’ compensation injury cases.
We are a nationally-recognized, AV-rated firm representing injured-workers under the Longshore and Harbor Workers Act. Our office is a small, informal environment in which the ability to engage in teamwork is vital to our success.
To start, position primarily will involve data entry and medical records review / summarizing. Ideally, in time, this position will include all manner of legal support, including organizing the physical files, document scanning and electronic file creation. Long-term goals include training in workers’ compensation case management and all facets of preparation for trial.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, occasional bending, twisting and overhead lifting.
Proficiency to Microsoft Office and exposure to legal case management programs are a plus.
Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
