Vance & Wills, P.C., a fast-paced family law practice with offices in Napa and San Rafael, CA seeks a self-motivated, positive, and articulate full-time Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of family law experience. A candidate with prior civil litigation experience will also be considered.
The candidate must have strong research, organization, and writing skills. This candidate would be responsible for all aspects of assigned cases, including drafting pleadings, communication with clients, opposing counsel, and experts, managing deadlines, attending court hearings, and overall preparation/completion of cases.
Preferred experience:
1. Experience in drafting declarations, points and authorities, legal research, and responding to motions for spousal support, child support, child custody, property-related issues and other family law issues.
2. Drafting and reviewing discovery, assessing sufficiency of response, drafting meet and confer letters, and drafting and responding to motions to compel.
3. Preparing and reviewing declarations of disclosure.
4. Must have experience and expertise with Dissomaster, Essential forms, Word, and Excel.
