Looking for: Someone who is willing to make a career around animals. Must understand that animals don't wait for your schedule, you must be available to take care of them, regardless. The pay is 23/hr. If you are committed I'm willing to pay more.
Attention: Horse experience necessary. Dog experience necessary. Vet tech background welcome. The learning curve is too much to take on someone who doesn't know how to be around horses and dogs at this moment. Safety is always a priority.
Resume will help. However a learning attitude no back biting will get you far. The work can be easy but also demanding. If you're not up to physical work with healthy animals, rehabilitation of animals and just treating sick animals, this might not be for you.
Not going to sugar coated. This work is hard and there are no medals. The reward is taking care of animals in a ranch setting rain or shine. Can you do it? Do you have the will to remain focus. Purpose is to take care of these animals.
The setting is part veterinary, part rescue and part rehab for animals.
You will sweat, lift heavy animals or at least part of them as we administer to them. You might have to run at times. You will be doing paper work. If you don't like paperwork, stay where you are. That means records, computer work.
Once again, this is for those who really want to work with animals, long hours with a small team in a ranch setting, travelling from site to site and even going to events.
You will be expected to meet our criteria and level of care for our animals. Drop your resume and we will contact you.
