Shanti Permaculture Farm Needs a Farmhand (sebastopol)

no pay
Shanti Permaculture Farm is a 6.5-acre working farm in the beautiful hills of Occidental, the westernmost town on the Sonoma Coast. We raise sheep, ducks, chickens, and geese. We need help with basic farm chores like feeding and watering the animals, and all sorts of gardening tasks like planting, weeding, watering, mulching, and transplanting. Any skills like carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general handyman are a plus. The vibe here is very chill and peaceful, the air is clean, and we cook well.
We love to engage in a community spirit with potlucks, campfires, movie nights, and work parties. There are lots of little lambs to bottle feed in our herd of American Blackbelly Sheep. Our coop is filled with almost 100 chickens, ducks, and geese. Elizabeth's Field Spaniels Libby and Lucy and her four cats live in and around the house and are all very friendly. Your well-behaved dog or child is welcome to visit here while we work in the fenced-in garden. We have 5G fiber optic internet and Verizon cell reception. We require strict water and energy conservation at all times from everyone here. The nearby town of Occidental has a great set of pubs, restaurants, shops, and small grocery stores for lunch, or bring a sack lunch. This is a woman-owned property and women are especially welcome to apply. Overall, some say this is the best place to live in Northern California because of the climate and incredibly rich soil. Come check it out and see if you are a good fit!
