We are seeking an experienced Facilities Assistant to join our team. Under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager and Facilities Lead, the team takes care of the buildings and grounds of our beautiful 6 acre property.
Nearly all aspects of maintenance and new construction on the property is handled in-house, from electrical and plumbing to construction; landscaping-hardscaping as well as many other specific systems to the property. We seek applicants who not only have a base level of knowledge in at least some of these areas but also an intense desire to grow and learn with these skills. This is the right position for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person with the wish to learn and apprentice under the Maintenance Manager and Lead. Communication skills must be outstanding and a positive outlook is essential.
The proper applicant will have a certain degree of flexibility within their scheduling as it is sometimes necessary to work weekend and/or midweek nights. You must be comfortable doing hard physical work in many conditions and excel at thinking and working dynamically with a team.
-Starting pay range will begin at $25 an hour based on experience. Position is 20-30 hrs a week with Opportunity for Benefits and full-time work (30+ hours/week) possible in the near future.
-Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs often, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting and walking on varying surfaces.
