Cohen Hicks Property Management is looking to hire for a building and property maintenance position based in Petaluma. We are a small company, with a mix of residential and commercial properties in the North Bay.
Responsibilities will include maintaining the grounds around our buildings, servicing and repairing appliances, painting, light carpentry, basic plumbing and electrical, cleaning building exteriors, and general home repair work. Experience in any or all of these fields is preferred, additional beneficial skills include small engine repair, pruning and arborist work, and gardening.
Applicant must be a motivated worker with initiative and the ability to self manage. We are looking for a friendly, hardworking person with a positive attitude. The position requires good interpersonal skills and at times will include working in tenants’ homes. Most of the work will be solitary, occasional projects will be done with the help of other staff.
Applicant must be organized and be able to work from a list. Part of the job will include creating and using a seasonal checklist to ensure that regular maintenance is performed. Applicant must be an excellent communicator with basic computer skills, and will report to the property manager on a regular basis.
