Vintage SPODE John Frederick Herring Sen. (Sr.) ‘The Hunt - The Kill’ Lge Rectangular Platter was used occasionally, well-kept in the interim; as such it has little evidence of use. Scene is from original drawing by Herring Sen. ca. 1930 - the scene from a British fox hunt w/rider on magnificent horses leaping a fence as hounds pursue and corner the quarry. The serving platter is about 16” L x 13” W. Except for a subtle knife cut across a horseman’s shoulder, platter is otherwise in pristine condition - no other scratches, no chips, cracks, or crazing. It has the Spode/Herring hallmark riding hat and crop imprinted underglaze on its underside. It’s available for local pick-up in San Rafael, with cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
