Vintage 1988 Sleeping Santa is like those produced by Alberta’s Molds Inc. ca. 1950s but not so stated. It’s a rectangular ceramic container w/ lid, hand-painted with charming details. (It is annotated on the underside ‘Hand Painted by Harris’ and ‘1988 Rosa.’) The chartreuse-colored blanket on Santa has a pair of finely detailed ‘patches.’ The bed skirt is similarly colored, with touches of gold and holly leaves at the corners. The container is about 8” L x 6” W x 5” H w/lid. The base has an irregular footprint, mimicking the ruffles of the bed skirt. The container is ideal for storing holiday cookies or treats, or simply as a nostalgic piece of Christmas décor. [Note: It does have a small chip on the underside, on the corner, as pictured.] It is available for local pick-up in San Rafael, cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
