Used but well-kept, from family estate, this set of six (6) SHANNON Crystal Wine Goblets were marketed by the Godinger Silver Art Co. They are brilliant cut crystal glasses that would add a further touch of elegance to one's barware collection. These have a deep-cut fan pattern w/diamond-shapes surrounding the bowl. The multi-faceted stems add further refinement to their presence. The goblets have no fixed hallmark, but one still retains the SHANNON diamond-shaped label on its bowl, so by inference, so goes all of them. As the label imparts, ‘SHANNON CRYSTAL DESIGNS OF IRELEND 24% LEAD CRYSTAL MADE IN SLOVAKIA.’ These were hand-blown and cut by the Bohemia glass blowing process in Slovakia, which adds to their provenance, attesting to the quality craftsmanship and establishing them as heirloom-quality goblets. In excellent vintage condition, they have no chips, cracks, scratches, or scuffs. They are about 8" H, the bowl rim about 3-1/8”-dia., the foot about 2-7/8”-dia., with capacity of 8 oz. (NOTE: The goblet’s reference to being made in Slovakia indicates that the goblets were produced sometime after 1993, when The Slovakia and The Czech Republic split and became independent European states.) The set is available for local pick-up in San Rafael, cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
