Bernardaud Lithophane Candle Votive ‘Wild Flowers’ is new, with the 2-piece porcelain dome and base, and a lightly-scented votive candle, all in its original gift carton. It’s made in Limoges France. The Lithophane is a traditional engraving technique on an unglazed bisque porcelain that was invented in Limoges in 1828. This is engraved in a miniature wildflower motif and is about 4-3/8”-dia. x 2-3/4” H. The glow of the votive (shown w/battery-operated tealight, NOT included) shines through the raised and carved surface, contrasting light against shadow, to reveal its richly detailed design. New retails for about $60, a bargain here. Ideal for personal use or for gifting, it’s available for local pick-up in San Rafael, cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
