We are looking for one or two reliable companions for a friendly woman in her 70s who lives in a one-story, pet-free home in Petaluma. The position involves transportation and companionship, including going on walks.
Requirements:
• Must have a safe and reliable car with car insurance.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Job Details:
• Hours: 15-20 hours per week (4 days total).
o Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays: generally speaking, the start time will be 8:30 "ish" am (possibly starting between 8:30 and 9 am) and lasting 4 hours. Sometimes, if it's possible for the companion to start later in the morning, that might be desired by the client's family, depending on the client's medical appointments.
o One weekend afternoon (Saturday or Sunday): 12:00-4:00 PM or 1:00-5:00 PM (depending on companion's availability).
• Location: Generally speaking, the Monday-Wednesday-Friday shifts are likely to begin in Greenbrae (driving client home from medical appointments) and end at her home in Petaluma. On occasion, the client's family may pick her up from her appointment in Green Brae and drive her to her home, meaning the companion's shift that day may start later in the morning, e.g., 10 am - 2 pm. These schedule details will be determined upon hire.
• Duties: Light cooking/meal preparation, driving the client to and from appointments, and providing companionship, including walks.
Compensation:
• $32 per hour.
• Mileage reimbursement based on standard IRS rates for driving from Greenbrae to Petaluma.
