This is a pair of nice Deco/Mid-Century-style Cantilevered Tubular Stainless-Steel Stools w/integral footrests, in great condition. They have fixed round Naugahyde seats (non-swiveling) of an early to Mid-Century style, likely of the 1960s. There is no maker’s mark on either stool. However, the excellent quality of the welded joints gives credibility to the supposition of being Italian-made. Their anthropomorphic, almost leaping stance adds to their mystique. The symmetrical stools are of a brushed stainless-steel w/recently refinished faux leather upholstered seat at about 32” H. The combination adds intrigue to the decor while offering a comfortable sit. The minimalist low-arched back frame keeps the sitter centered and because they are relatively lightweight, the back rail offers a convenient handhold for quick placement. The stainless-steel is in excellent condition with smooth welds and only a few scuffs but no abrasions or oxidation. The legs have nylon glides that avoid floor-marking. The pair is available for local pick-up in San Rafael, cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
