IKEA ‘Nilserik’ Standing Support is an unconventional stool for active sitting and for improving posture. This was used briefly but it appears as virtually new. The base and lifting shaft are beige polypropylene and the upholstered seat, a polyester fabric, dark gray. Height easily is adjusted by using one of the three easy-to-reach knobs underneath the seat. The curved base helps in determining a comfortable, tilted sitting position, and its rubber ring protects the floor and prevents slippage when leaning against it. The seat is about 14”-dia., the base, 16”-dia. Its rise is about 20” to 28” H. Tested, the ‘Nilserik’ can support a maximum 240+ lbs.
