Plucked from an estate sale, this Classic Hollywood Regency Faux Bamboo Armchair has a solid hardwood frame w/turned faux bamboo fretwork with solid joinery, dark-stained with only modest wear, but no missing parts. (Some experts term the chair style as ‘Chinese Chippendale.’) It’s in very sturdy condition. It has an upholstered seat and a snap-loop back cushion, both stained and with some tears in the fabric (reupholstering recommended.) Undercarriage and apparent coil spring assembly has a tightly woven, lightweight black cambric fabric that is in excellent condition. The chair is about measures 36" H to back, the seat, 18" H x 16" D x 18" W. The classic fretwork on the back and the arms are solid, as it the subtle curved cornice pieces at the seat/leg juncture.
