Beautiful Skovby expandable dining table, model SM14KS, made in Denmark in the 1980s. Crafted from solid cherry, this oval Danish modern table features exceptional build quality, refined proportions, and Skovby’s signature synchronous extension system—allowing one person to extend the table smoothly without dragging or lifting.
The fixed pedestal-style base remains stationary while the tabletop opens effortlessly to reveal two self-storing leaves, neatly housed inside the table when not in use. With both leaves installed, the table comfortably seats up to 10 people, making it ideal for everyday dining as well as larger gatherings.
The cherry finish is rich and warm, and the table is heavy, solid, and extremely well made. Both leaves appear to have seen little to no use and were left stored inside the table. Overall, the table presents beautifully.
