Oversized upholstered ottoman / bench with a substantial dark wood sculptural X-base. Based on construction and style, this is believed to be Ethan Allen (no tag found), and it has the quality and weight you’d expect from that brand.
The fabric features a rich, textured pattern in warm golden brown and muted olive tones — very traditional / transitional in style. The base is a dark stained wood with a modern crossed design that gives it strong presence and visual interest.
This works beautifully as:
• A large coffee table ottoman
• End-of-bed bench
• Entryway bench
• Extra seating in a living room
Dimensions:
• 40” Long
• 25” Deep
• 19.5” High
Condition:
Structurally very solid and heavy. The wood base is in good condition with minor cosmetic wear consistent with use. The upholstered top does have visible fabric wear and damage on the surface (pictured), which is reflected in pricing. It could be used as-is, covered with a tray, or easily reupholstered to completely transform the piece.
Because of the size and sturdy frame, this would be an excellent candidate for reupholstery if someone wants a high-end custom look without paying retail.
