Design Plus Gallery presents a 20th Century English Brass Bar Sideboard. At the dawn of the 20th century, wellcrafted cabinets like this were frequently employed by English shopkeepers to showcase and store their merchandise. True to its inspiration, this large scale cabinet exudes a sense of drama with its brass bar handles, elegantly molded cornice, and plinthstyle base. The cabinet has been meticulously constructed from solid oak, adorned with a Black Matte multistep finish, and handapplied wax. The interiors and adjustable beveled shelves were painted to harmonize with the exterior. Antiqued brass bar handles are securely fastened with cast metal hardware. Condition is good for age and use.
