Design Plus Gallery presents a Vintage Butterfly Chair Designed by Edward Tuttle for McGuire Furniture. A study in grace, this design features a sweeping silhouette of rattan with a solid rattan seat. The symmetrical pattern on the back and apron contains both curving and geometric spaces tied with leather thongs. The bamboo and leather is stained a warm henna brown. The original Butterfly Chair, from which this McGuire version draws inspiration was designed in the 1930s in Argentina. Brass brand plate and trademark emblem are on the rare chair for authenticity. Condition is good for age and use. Made in the Philippines.
