The company was founded in 1963 by Mike Savnik and his wife Eleanor and together with brother Joe Savnik they started manufacturing felt and braided area rugs. Mike and Eleanors three sons later joined the business and the company grew, adding specialty looms to make a wide variety of tufted custom area rugs. Today the company is owned by son Kurt Savnik with his wife Kathryn and their son Kyle, as they continue the Savnik family tradition.
