This is Round Pewter Tray, 9"- dia. handmade in Lucerne, Switzerland, using lead-free alloy of tin, copper and antimony. True pewter, it is stamped "95" on underside of tray. It weighs about 1 lbs. 4 oz. Lead-free so it is FDA-approved for food-use. [Pewter is slow to tarnish and requires limited maintenance - hand-wash in warm water with dish soap and dry completely; spots can be removed by polishing or by rubbing with 'Very Fine' "0000" steel wool.] [Bsmt] ** Vintage THONET Post-Modern Solid Birch Bentwood Bar/Counter Stool (GW/$9.99 > $180) [4/xxx/23]
Used but well-kept 1980’s American-made THONET Industries round bar-height stool, manufactured in its signature bent birchwood frame w/solid turned, concave seat. It has four rounded saber legs and two birchwood support rings, immediately below the seat and at foot level. The feet have felt pads to protect surfaces. Stool is hallmarked w/THONET label affixed to the underside of the seat. The feet have felt pads to protect floor surfaces. Stool is nominally 30-1/2” H x 12-1/2”-dia. x 17”-sq. footprint.
