Offering this very unique and rare vintage Avian LEAR Learadio P10-A 3-Band Radio. Normally produced for private pilots. The 3-bands are: AM: for entertainment, Marine: for Shortwave time signals, and Airways: for longwave weather and navigation. The knobs work, the inside dial moves slow and off center. The outside shows some wear from vintage age and use. NOTE: This and other similar Lear models were produced by William "Bill" P. Lear. The company Lear Corp. started in Grand Rapids, Mi. around 1934. Lear then moved to Los Angeles in 1952. In 1960, Mr. Lear designed the first 8-track player. In 1962 he sold his interest in Lear, Inc and subsequently founded his new business for what we know today as LearJet. And, "now you know the rest of the story."
The knobs work, the inside dial moves . The outside shows some wear from vintage age and use. Tubes light up and AM bands can be picked up using the interior aerial.
