cane seat and backing Oak wood Thus chair is not meant for very large( overweight) people It is considered to be a small rocker, although it is not a child’s chair I am certainly not skinny and it’s fine for me but i felt that I should clarify that it would not be suitable for anyone over 200lbs That is not to say that it is not sturdy the seat is roughly 18’ X 16’ and 34’ inches tall
