This is a Matryoshka doll, also known as Russian nesting doll - set of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside the other. This set is brand-new but it has no packaging or papers -- it is without dents, dings, or flaws.
Outer layer is a Santa dressed in traditional red garb, holding a tree in one hand, sack of toys in the other. The four (4) internal figures have similar features but decreasing in size, to the smallest, innermost doll - baby turned from a single piece of wood. Each doll is hand-painted features. Outermost figure measures about 5-1/2" H x 3" Diameter; each successive doll is proportionally smaller, down to the miniature at 1-1/4" H x 3/4"-diameter. Set is made of Linden Wood. It’s available for local pick-up in San Rafael, with cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
