Portside Bakery is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented part-time prep cook to support
our production team. We are a small, craft-focused bakery producing naturally leavened
breads and laminated pastries, with a strong following across Marin and San Francisco.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in
organization and consistency, and wants to be part of a tight-knit, hardworking team.
What You’ll Do
Prepare ingredients for daily production (weighing, scaling, portioning)
Assist with basic dough and pastry prep
Slice, portion, and organize ingredients for baked goods
Maintain a clean and organized prep and kitchen space
Wash dishes and keep production tools flowing smoothly
Support bakers with general tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2 years experience working as a prep cook
Strong knife skills
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Comfortable with early morning shifts and/or weekend availability
Schedule & Perks
Part-time: ~15–25 hours per week
Early morning shifts preferred
Consistent weekly schedule
