Pastry Chef – Morning Café Lead

Job Summary / Introduction
We’re seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to lead our morning café offerings. You’ll manage all morning baking, pastry production, and help shape a warm and inviting café experience before our lunch service begins.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and bake pastries, breakfast breads, and café-style items daily
• Open the café each morning and ensure prep is complete before opening
• Develop and update a rotating pastry menu
• Manage morning kitchen operations and inventory
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
• Work closely with the owner/chef to ensure smooth transition into lunch service
• Possibly serve customers directly or work with a front-of-house team (if applicable)
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a pastry chef or baker (preferably in a café or restaurant setting)
•’Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry presentation, and food safety
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Culinary or baking certification is a plus but not required
Work Schedule
• Morning shifts, typically starting around 9AM
Tuesday–Saturday
