Sales & Event Coordinator – Private Chef & Catering Company (Full-Time)
We are a small, high-end private chef and catering company seeking a full-time Sales & Event Coordinator to join our team. Hybrid work from home and come in.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow catering sales, from initial inquiry through closing.
Reach out to find new lead avenues.
Coordinate all details for events (menus, timelines, rentals, staffing, floor plans).
Serve as primary client contact before and during events.
Conduct outreach to new leads (corporate, wineries, venues, planners, DMCs, etc.).
Proactively conduct outreach to new venues and partners to bring in new clientele beyond inbound inquiries from our website.
Maintain relationships with existing clients and partners.
Prepare proposals, contracts, and event orders.
Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
Help create and refine internal protocols to improve efficiency and client experience.
Develop, document, and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) as the business grows.
Assist in creating, improving, and implementing new systems and workflows across sales and operations.
Required Qualifications
AA degree or above.
Natural ability to sell.
Loves people and can manage high touch individuals and brides.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in catering sales.
Minimum 5 years’ experience coordinating catering and events.
Strong experience working in wine country (e.g., Napa/Sonoma or similar wine region), including familiarity with local venues, wineries, and event standards.
Proven track record with outreach and internal sales (inbound and outbound).
Demonstrated ability to build, document, and improve processes and SOPs.
Strong computer skills, including:
QuickBooks Online
Staffing Apps
Google Workspace (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar)
Willingness and ability to help create and optimize new systems and integrations between tools.
Excellent communication and client-service skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines at once.
Comfortable working some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events.
Preferred
Existing relationships with wineries, venues, and planners in wine country.
Experience with catering/event CRM or booking software.
Background in luxury or high-touch hospitality.
Experience creating training materials or onboarding documents based on SOPs and systems.
