Celebrate the holidays with The Hot Licks and The Christmas Jug Band for a rolicking good show! The Hot Licks, original members of Dan Hicks’ backing band, perform Dan’s classic songs in the Folk-Swing style that Dan Hicks invented – a blend of Gypsy Jazz, Folk and Swing with lots of vocal harmonies.The Hot Licks carry the torch for Folk-Swing with his signature style that has inspired so many others. They team up with perennial favorite The Christmas Jug Band (of which Dan Hicks was also a member), “the kings of 100 percent acoustic folk-skiffle-swing holiday high jinks.”

Some of the Bay Area’s finest musicians, they perform on washboard, drums, guitars, percussion, kazoos, slide whistles, jaw harp, washtub bass, jug, accordions, autoharp, harmonica, piano, tenor sax, soprano sax, alto sax, baritone sax, clarinet, chromatic harmonica, recorder, trumpet and mandolin.
