Selling as a lot. Two vintage vinyl collections from the 1960s and 70s in like-new condition and from a non-smoking home.
13 albums featuring many of the greats, from Duke Ellington to Benny Goodman and the Four King Sisters, and top tunes such as "Chattanooga Choo Choo" (Glenn Miller) and Nat King Cole's version of "Straighten Up and Fly Right." Heady stuff. Everything is super clean.
Two boxed sets:
1. (Pics 2 thru 4.) "The Swing Era: The Music of 1942-1944" from Time-Life Records, a 1971 collaboration with Capitol Records. Three-record set is complete and albums are in near-mint condition. Package is unsealed but still covered by original shrinkwrap. Also includes original hardcover book "The Swing Era 1942-1944: When Sport Was Mighty Sporty" in perfect, like new condition.
2. (Pics 5 thru 10.) "The Great Band Era" Reader's Digest Collector's Edition of original recordings from 1936 to 1945. Issued in 1965. Outer packaging shows light wear but collection is complete and all 10 records are in pristine condition. Includes original softcover booklet "The Story of the Great Bands (1936-1945)" in excellent shape.
