***NO TRADES***
I am selling my 1971 Chevy El Camino that has a mildly built 350, and Turbo 400 automatic transmission with Power Steering, Power Disc brakes with Air Conditioning and Glove box light. All A/C components seem to be present, except for the air compressor, brackets and plumbing.
With an updated A/C compressor that can be charged with the new R134 refrigerant and some new plumbing... It wouldn't take much to get cold A/C in this El Camino again.
Recent install of the Brake Booster and master brake cylinder.
It has a set of Edelbrock aluminum #6088 cylinder heads with Roller Rockers, screw-in-studs, guide plates, topped with a Edelbrock intake manifold, Edelbrock carburetor, valve covers and air cleaner lid, Mild hydraulic RV cam, so no periodic valve adjustment necessary.
Aluminum radiator, external transmission cooler, and original fan shroud keeps this muscle car running cool in the hot summer months.
New radiator hoses/clamps, thermostat and coolant flush with fresh coolant.
Brand New PerTronix Flame Thrower Electronic HEI distributor (GM style with the 50K Volt coil in the cap), Morosco spark plug wires, Morosco Spark plug 6" boot insulators and wire separators, and NGK spark plugs.
New Blueprint engines high-torque mini starter motor.
Thick flanged Hedman headers with dual exhaust.
I drive this car daily and it runs and drives very well. Starts every time and drives perfectly straight down the road with no assistance.
All the steering components have been previously replaced with updated Upper and Lower Ball Joints, Inner and Outer Tie Rod ends, Pitman arm and Idler arm. Bushings in the front suspension looks to have been updated as well.
Thumbs up and compliments wherever I go.
Rare Turbo 400 transmission that shifts like it should, and the fluid looks beautiful and seemingly well serviced.
Weld Racing Prostar aluminum wheels with New tires installed with New Mc Gard chrome wheels locks and lug nuts.
Body is very straight with some minor rust on the lower L/F front fender and behind the R/R wheel, and floor boards are solid with no rust found (SEE PICS)
This El Camino originally came in a Very Rare Gold metallic color, but a previous owner had painted over all the Gold with the black primer that you see now. There are a few small spots on the exterior and in the door jambs where the black primer is peeling and the Gold can be seen. I may start the process of removing the black primer to show the original Gold color.
It has a metal Cowl Induction hood with the air intake flap, but needs a few small pieces to make the flap functional.
The basic style hood pins will soon be replaced and updated to a locking style hood lock set. Same size, but will allow the hood to be locked with a key.
Locking gas cap.
Interior is Black and in good condition, seat had been reupholstered not too long ago, decent carpet, and headliner seems to be original and in excellent condition. It sports a Grant steering wheel, and ick panels are in good shape with no speaker holes.
In a nut-shell... This a running and driving 1971 Chevy El Camino that is cool as heck and has that 80's muscle car vibe with a Clean Title in My Name.
