This is my 1996 Corvette. If you're looking for one of the last great c4's, but don't have 30k for a ZR1, this is the one. It is an absolutely great car, and I love every time I drive it... but as much as it pains me, I am moving to an apartment, have 3 cars, and have to make the adult decision to sell the toy.
A little about the car:
It is super clean, low-ish miles for its age, comfortable, and gets decent mileage for a 20 year old V8 sports car (23 highway in 6th gear). I got from Santa Rosa to Reno once on a half tank of gas! However, the average mpg for a whole tank is around 18-19mpg according to the on board computer. Opti spark was recently replaced at a shop, and clear bra applied to protect the paint because it's in great shape just like the rest of the car. I have receipts for both. It has been garaged with a car cover for the time I've had it. Only one rip in the bottom of the drivers seat, otherwise the seats are solid. It really is a great example of a well-preserved c4. I've taken it to car shows, and get compliments on it all the time. I totally love it and hate to see it go, but for the right buyer I could be convinced.
However, being a 22 year old car it is not without its problems. The vents don't shift positions (stuck in the defrost position). Also, there is a SUPER slow oil leak from the right rear axle seal. I've checked the oil level and there's plenty. It's not really even leaking slow enough to make a difference, just enough to discolor the diff. The plastic top isn't super clear and has a very small crack (about 1.5" long) but doesn't leak water. The power drivers seat makes a noise when trying to move the recline angle, so I don't mess with it... although being a corvette there isn't much room to recline anyway, haha.
