This Imperial is a beautiful car that unfortunately has a bad engine (318 cu. in. V8). I'm the third owner, and I have owned the car since 2019. I took it for a short drive two weeks ago, but it lost oil pressure for some reason and made some unsettling noises under the hood. I'm guessing it's something in the bottom end, but I don't have the time or energy to pull the engine, so I'm selling the car "as-is."
The car ran great before the engine failure, and the 3-speed AT shifted smoothly, so it's still good. The car is all stock (no mods), and the interior is in good condition. I replaced the brake master cylinder and power booster a few years ago, and all four shocks were replaced as well. The chrome is in great condition, but the paint is oxidized, but the body is straight with no rust (it's a CA car). There are only two small dents on the right door (see photos).
Chrysler only made this unique and beautiful body style for three years ('81-'83), and this car would make a sweet hot rod, lowrider, or just a cool cruiser in stock form.
I may be able to have it towed to your location through my AAA membership if it is under 100 miles.
