This Mini Cooper has been my commute vehicle for a handful of years but it's time to say "goodbye" and upgrade to a larger, family vehicle that fits growing kids. This posting has all the disclosures, I am being very transparent about everything, so please only contact me if you are serious and not going to low-ball me.
The car is a cosmetically banged up after two uninsured motorists hit me after work, yes two! Front hood has small dents and rear bumper is banged up on one side. Both are shown in the photos. The car itself is fine, frame is fine, and these have never been an issue for driving purposes. It's just cosmetic and I didn't care enough to fix it since it was my SF commute car only.
The 'light-bulb' light is on due to some electrical issue. The lights are working and my mechanic has said it's a non-issue which I could fix if the light-on bothers me. For $650, I chose not to do it.
The "check engine" light goes on and off randomly. This has been checked 3 times by the mechanic and it's also an electrical fault as there is nothing wrong that he has been able to diagnose.
Now for the good: I put brand new tires on it this Fall, they have <5k miles on them, new cabin air filter, new engine air filter, and new wiper blades, so I could safely drive through the winter. I have all the service records, never missed an oil change, and every time I tell my mechanic it's time to sell it, he reminds me that the car is in good condition because the engine is clean.
I just went over 100k miles so it will need the general maintenance items over the next year to keep it running for another 50k (drive belt, brake pads, it's due for an oil service in March, as well as registration in April). Between this and the above; hence the very low sale price.
The car is best for a new, high school driver needing an around town vehicle or someone who has a big gas guzzler and wants a run-around car. Or someone who is into fixing up cars. It's a really fun car to drive!!! Note: this car takes 89 level gas.
