Toyota Highlander 2001 - Mechanics special. Needs new cat. converter - $999 (mill valley)

Selling my 2001 Toyota Highlander SUV. This has been a solid daily driver and still has good power, but it comes with some issues that need attention. Priced accordingly.
✅ Positives:
° Smooth drive around the city
° Interior in very good condition
° Body in average condition for its age
° Nice custom tinted windows
° Good brakes.
° Tires with good tread
° Alarm system with remote
° JVC sound system w/ Bluetooth & microphone (hands-free capable)
° Clean title (pink slip ready)
⚠️ Known Issues (full disclosure):
° Check Engine light on – needs new catalytic coverter. You may be able to get one from Amazon for $200-$300 California-approved and install it locally for $50-$75 at a muffler store. (This SUV will definitely NOT pass California smog in current condition).
° Registration expired – buyer responsible for bringing current.
° Suspension needs replacement – car drives ok but rough ride on roads with potholes .
° Consumes about 1 quart of oil every 200 miles. It is considered high consumption but it has been like this for the past 5 years and has not really increased. Engine still has very good power.
° A/C does not work.
° Both back seat side windows need new regulator/motor. They stay closed. No need to fix if you don't have too many passengers all the time with you.
° Front bumper and roof paint are peeling and needs repaint to make it look more presentable.
💡 Best Use:
Great project SUV for someone handy with repairs, or for local city driving after making it emissions-compliant.
