1968 Mustang Pro Et bracket drag car.
I bought this car in 2014 supposedly race ready but not really. I spent two years completely rebuilding it with the best parts and labor, no expense spared.
460 (472) Ford Racing block, 4 bolt mains, siamese cylinders, Ford Super Cobra Jet aluminum heads, ported, with lager valves, titanium keepers and retainers, Comp roller cam and lifters, Crane rocker arms, H beam con rods, forged pistons, Victor manifold, AED Holley 1050 Dominator, Meziere water pump, MSD digital ignition 2 step, Crties headers, aluminum pulleys, light weight starter, Aeromotive fuel pump and regulator. Ford Racing oil pan with built in windage tray, Ford Racing dampener, etc, etc.
The motor was just rebuilt, has dyno time and 10 passes on it. Dynoed at 702HP @ 6300RPM.
Coan C6 transmission and torque convertor with transbrake and finned aluminum deep pan, with 58 passes on it. Transmission blanket and catch can. Moser 9" Ford rear end, 4:30, with 5/8" studs. Four link rear suspension with all grade 8 hardware. Affco rear coilovers, fully adjustable. Wilwood rear calipers, master cylinder, proportioning valve, braided steel hoses and new steel lines. Rebuilt stock front end with disc brakes and adjustable drag shocks. Phoenix 32x14, 15" slicks with 77 passes on them. Still good. Weld wheels. Aluminum radiator with dual cooling fans. Separate trans cooler. All Russell braided steel fuel and transmission hoses. 15 gallon fuel cell. Optima battery. Completely rewired including fuse box/control panel, two master cut-offs. Auto Meter gauges, AEM air/fuel ratio gauge with new sensor. Quick release steering wheel. Wink mirror. B&M shifter. Interior fan. Fiberglass hood and deck lid, lexan side windows.. ..And plenty more.
This car has received countless hours of high quality work with attention to detail. The underside is clean and painted.. It makes working on it pleasurable, not getting covered with grease and dirt. .
I have a notebook with all the build notes, log books and all the receipts, totaling over $54,000. Plus hundreds of hours labor.
It's fully sorted, it hooks up and goes straight. Runs very low 10s with mufflers. Weighs approx 2900 lbs. Its truly Race Ready!
