Consumer Relations Check Representative (CRC) must locate, negotiate with, and solicit payment from consumers on dishonored checks assigned to Optio Solutions in accordance with the FDCPA, state collection laws, company policies, and procedures. Consumer Relations Check Rep's are also expected to assist the leadership team with training and monitoring of new representatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Contact debtors, via telephone, to solicit and negotiate terms of repayment on dishonored checks. Document all calls in the AS400 contact management system. (100%)
Conduct yourself in a professional manner when contacting the check writer or 3rd parties. CRR's should use "best practices" and maintain compliance with FDCPA guidelines when dealing with check writers. (100%)
Represent company in repayment negotiations with debtors. (100%)
Review and analyze contact information is sufficient to determine the best method or avenue to contact debtor. (75%)
Review all available information from work orders and other reports to establish the best contact information to utilize in contacting the check writer. Doc all changes in the AS400 system. (100%)
Review and analyze if contact information is sufficient or if skip tracing is needed in order to obtain location information for the debtor. (75%)
Determine the best and most effective collection tactics, techniques and tools for recovering funds on dishonored checks. (100%)
Analyze financial situation, based on financial and credit reports of the debtor, and recommend to management whether legal action is necessary to recover funds on dishonored checks. (100%)
Analyze potential disputes and recommend to management whether financial settlement is necessary to recover portions of dishonored checks. Handle all disputes or fraudulent situations according to department policies and procedures. (100%)
Apply all best practices to their daily routine and make sure everything is being handled according to department protocol. (100%)
Achieve established phone call requirements and established collection forecasts. (100%)
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees. (100%)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB
High School Diploma/GED
