I bought this vintage handbag some years ago as part of my costume for a 1940s-era play I was in. It is real skin and I believe it's alligator, but possibly another exotic leather like crocodile.

Bag is about 7" tall by 11" wide with a brass-tone frame and working clasp. It came with a matching leather strap that was worn so I swapped it out for the gold chain shown in pics. (I saved the original leather strap if someone wants it.)

Purse is in good overall vintage condition. Beautiful cognac-colored leather with a distinctive pattern, and only minor wear along edges. Interior is in very good, clean condition and seems barely used.
