Bruce King designed sailboat. Sails circles around many boats in the bay. Atomic four engine very reliable. Engine built like a tank. 30hp. Lead keel, draws 5’. Three jib sail inventory: from a baby jib, great for a windy day in July, to a huge jib that will terrify everybody on board, except for you because when it heels over it spills wind and can’t capsize, so I’m told.
In the last four months: bottom cleaned, zinc’s replaced, oil change, spark plugs, new carburetor, gas tank drained and cleaned, and new fuel filter.
I would sail this sailboat anywhere in the bay. Recently took a trip up to Benicia. Has never left me stranded or failed to function perfectly. I have owned it for 10 years. I bought a new boat, but will miss this one. Slip at Clipper Marina in Sausalito is probably transferable, $550 a month. But that is not a big deal. There are lots of slips available for a 32’ boat. If it were me, I might move it to Sausalito Marina across from the No-name. I can help you accomplish that.
Appraised at $12,000. Sails like a champ. Great for trips to Angel Island, San Francisco, and beyond.
I have no idea what the engine hours are. I don’t think they’re very large because until recently I had it in San Francisco at Fort Mason. I would only run the engine for about 15 minutes before I put up the sails…which probably means fewer than three hours a year. Lately, because she has been berthed at Clipper, I’ve been running the engine more and it has run great.
Supposedly sleeps six. But they must be small people. Comfortable for two or three. The sea toilet has been replaced with a cassette toilet, which has never been used. Stove and oven are also removed. Replaced with a dehumidifier and pfd storage. It does have a icemaker and heater. I believe this is the only boat in the history of boating, at this price point, with an icemaker.
I am selling it as is. No survey, no haul out, no sea test. What it is is what you get. That’s why the price. Everything above is true to the best of my knowledge, but I don’t guarantee anything.
