This is an opportunity to own a 25ft Pacific Seacraft named Sunset in a prime Sausalito slip!
Pacific Seacraft has the reputation of quality seafaring boats to cross oceans or sail around the world.
As many of you probably know it is extremely rare to find a boat with an accompanied slip especially here in Sausalito. The monthly rent for the slip is $425 with parking included and marina amenities: showers, restrooms, etc.
Sunset is a beautiful and super stout double-ended pocket cruiser designed by Henry Mohrschladt and built by Pacific Seacraft! Don't be deceived by her size--these boats have crossed oceans and with her full keel she's right at home in typical Bay conditions as well. What 25' sailboat do you know that stays so rock-solid stable when you step aboard, and would be at home in any Bay Area conditions, or you could prep her and sail around the world! She is in fine shape inside and out and shows very nicely (the floor should be repainted and the varnish could be improved)--note almost no time on Profurl rollerfurler and tanbark sails (all installed in 2020), plus a new dodger installed in 2023; about $40,000 has been invested into Sunset in recent years. She just received a complete bottom paint job at KKMI Sausalito which consisted of hauling the boat out, inspected, bottom painted, new zinc on the propeller shaft and polished.
If you are an experienced sailor/cruiser, you KNOW the quality of Pacific Seacraft and the incredible value of this sweet vessel. This would be great boat to cruise the Bay Area, up to Sacramento and down all those Delta waterways, or prep her and sail down to Mexico for a few years, or across to Hawaii!
Here is the reason why I am selling Sunset. I am 83 years old. I just retired as 100 ton license Captain having sailed for 70 years all over the world. This was going to be my retirement friend but unfortunately, I found out that my balance is not what it should be to sail safely on a small boat. I sailed the boat yesterday and it was delightful so it is hard for me to let her go. I’m capable to do a sea trial and answer any questions you may have.
Regards,
Captain Marco
